ProtoKinetix Receives Definitive Confirmation of AAGP™ Preservative Qualities

ProtoKinetix, Inc. (PKTX) is pleased to report today that ongoing testing has resulted in very definitive confirmation of AAGP™’s ability to preserve living cells against harsh radiation. The Company is continuing to expand its large data base of results using variations of the AAGP™ molecules to enable the commercialization of products used in the preservation of cells, tissues and organs.

ProteoCell Laboratories, in Quebec, have just completed a series of tests bombarding human skin cells with very strong radiation. After 6-hours of UV-C exposure, the control group (untreated) cells were irradiated to death. Using a 5mg. / ml concentration of AAGP™ on cells exposed to 6-hours of UV-C radiation, ProteoCell reports over 85% survival rate. These results clearly demonstrate the strong protective effects of AAGP™ even after excessive UV-C treatment, which is one of the most detrimental UV radiation types known to mankind.

More advanced testing has started with major institutions to develop several medical applications for these molecules.
